When will Hollywood learn that they need to go back to actually putting some thought into original films? Seriously... how much crap will consumers take. What's next, after all of the popular video games and comic books are turned into movies, "reality theater"? I'm as nostalgic about Wolf3d as the next person, but what made it so great is that it was something we hadn't seen before. There's no plot to it... none whatsoever. The game was made before true plots were necessary, just like doom after it. The game was so innovative and fun that one simply wasn't needed.
If this isn't a case for a massive home-theater set up, and a subscription to Netflix I don't know what is.
I don't think that The Rock, or Vin Diesel would fit the mold for this character... looks wise. I guess that means we're going to have to endure the return of Jean Claude Van Damme (sp?).
