Smooth move ex-lax!!

I think the smooth move is on his part!

Paul

Just thought I would let you know that I posted this on the Curry comments.

"For all you dick heads who are jumping off the deep end. Just one small point that you obviously overlooked...

Adam Curry is responsible for the content on the DSC. He chooses it: he plays it. Ergo, he is responsible. The unfortunate juxataposition of the awful news about Richard's partner and the promo is his fault. Now you might like to make a judgement about the content of the promo, but what would have been slightly less sickening is if Adam had just come straight out and appologised for his mistake rather than pointing the finger at the promo.

Just accept it as a lesson learned that Adam is not some sort of superman that all you hopeless, fawning idiots seem to think he is.

He's a guy doing a job and trying to make a buck. Doh"

Thanks its appreciated!

I completely agree.

Back when Adam Curry started this whole newfangled podcasting thing, much play was made of it being 'grassroots media' and 'real' and one which by it's very nature could surpass the anodyne drivel that blights broadcast radio. Ironic that this sentiment has come back to bite him in the ass just as it's becoming semi-commercial.

You guys are intelligent and witty, and certainly not out for the cheap attention grab. The only thing you have to feel bad about is wanting to advertise on his self-aggrandising and spectacularly bland show in the first place. One, it seems, he doesn't have time to do his homework for.

Bottom line. You do it for fun. He does it for cash. While he's grooming listeners into consumers, some of us are listening to stuff like you guys. And getting it.

I don't know what the hell happened, but don't fucking apologize! Y'all are supposed to be honest and that doesn't include going back and apologizing for something that was said which had no relation to the overall context in which it was played. You can't let other people decide what your intentions were.

I've been listening to y'all since around Christmas and it's one of the few podcasts I listen to because it is so real, honest and frank. Hmmm, your show must be named Frank Wit for a reason, right? There's no need to apologize for your frank wit. There's no need to worry about offending small minded people; they'll always find something to be offended about without your help.

Sorry for the rant, but I couldn't give two shits about Adam Curry or anything he broadcasts. After listening for a couple months, this is pretty much the first time I've visited the show's blog and to see you groveling over something that requires no apology is somewhat disheartening.

frankwit

Listen to the recent shows... you'll find the apology wasn't to adam... I was apologizing on behalf of that dumbass not listening to the promo before playing it.

Lynda

You shouldn't be apologizing on behalf of other people. Let other people take care of their own stupid mistakes. (I haven't listened to the most recent show yet, but it's being loaded to my ipod today)
